The Sun-Scorched Land, Take 1

I did this one thinking of a barren, rocky desert, where the water pools are few and far between- and often brackish, at best- and the sun relentlessly beats down for hours on the land.

This is the other version of The Sun-Scorched Lands. I worry that this is less true to the description, because the water looks clearer and the sky has lost some of the dustlike haze. Yet the picture looks crisper. Which do you like better?
